Daily Deals
Our daily deals service is another extended part of our Market Place,
we provide a facility so that any member may make a deal to the
rest of
the membership which is deemed to be a special daily deal,
actively
seeking to make it an offer which lasts for that one day.
We ensure, as far as we can, that deals are relevant. We have an in-site
principle of aiming to "reverse advertise" any proposition. This means we
aim to ensure that any offer or deal is placed in front of businesses that will
be interested in or will benefit from that deal. This comes from our connection
points. If you want travel offers, we will get you travel offers. If you don't
want travel offers, we will try to make sure you don't get travel offers.
What this does is link the daily deals to and from businesses and people who can
best benefit from making or receiving those offers.
If a restaurant in Cheltenham wants to make a daily deal offer for example we will unlikely
allow this to be placed in front of businesses in Aberdeen or Dublin. But if you are a business
person in Cheltenham you will probably see this.
If you are into golf you will probably get the daily deals around golf products, holidays or courses offering special deals. If you are not into golf you won't. Our profiling allows us to make these "intelligent connections" as we call them. Over time we will also seek to engage with members to ask what they want from any advertising and then we will direct, as efficiently as we are able, everything you are into, want or like straight to you. This is how we run our daily deals area, around reverse advertising principles, something we believe is good for the buyer and the seller.
